(Zap) yes my house didn’t get struck by lightning, we thank Ben Franklin for his amazing invention the lightning rod. Franklin had a delightful childhood, made history changing inventions, and had some difficult challenges. All of his inventions started with when he was younger.

Ben had an amazing childhood. He was born on January 17th, 1706 in Boston Massachusetts. Ben loved to read and write but unfortunately he only got to go to school for two years. When Ben was eleven he had to work for his brother, James Franklin, Ben didn’t enjoy working for his brother. When he worked for his brother sometimes he would put a story he wrote called Poor Richard’s Almanac. Ben’s creativity open doors to his great inventions when he was growing up.

Ben had some history changing inventions. When Ben was sixty in 1776 during the Revolutionary War he became one of the Founding Fathers. He also helped declare American Independence. Franklin invented the lightning rod to keep houses from getting hit by lightning. Ben had some great inventions and accomplishments but he had some obstacles that would always get in his way.

Ben Franklin had some difficult obstacles that he had to deal with in his life. In the Revolutionary War he was battling his own son. When Ben made the lightbulb nobody believed him. Ben’s brother would never let him publish paper, and he went through starvation. Ben Franklin had an amazing and difficult life.

Ben Franklin contributes to the USA by signing the Declaration of Independence and giving Americans civil rights. Franklin had a great childhood, made future changing inventions, and had some challenging obstacles.

“Do not fear mistakes. You will know failure. Continue to reach out.” - Benjamin Franklin
